This workshop offers participants an introduction to the use of expressive arts in life and death education. Through guided experiential activities, participants will explore their personal understanding, emotions, and values related to life and death themes. This reflective process aims to strengthen practitioners’ self-awareness and emotional readiness when supporting others in end‑of‑life contexts.
The workshop integrates creative modalities—such as visual arts, movement, music, drama and creative writing—to demonstrate how expressive arts can facilitate safe, meaningful exploration of sensitive topics. Participants will learn basic concepts, facilitation techniques, and ethical considerations for applying expressive arts with individuals with disabilities, enabling that life‑and‑death education to be delivered in an accessible and person‑centred manner.
